Remembering the Victims of Hull’s Worst Rail Disaster

Last week, we had the honour of playing a small role in a significant moment of remembrance at Hull Paragon Station. Our royal blue freestanding curtains were used to unveil a memorial plaque dedicated to the victims of Hull’s worst rail disaster, marking 98 years since the tragic event.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from TransPennine Express, Hull City Council, and relatives of the victims, all coming together to pay tribute to those who lost their lives. At 9:10AM, the exact time the accident occurred, a minute’s silence was held, creating a reflective moment for everyone present.

Commemorations like these serve as powerful reminders of the past, so that those affected are never forgotten. It’s always a privilege for us to support events that bring communities together to honour history and remember loved ones. Whether it’s a memorial unveiling, a commemorative ceremony, or a special occasion, we take great care in providing high-quality draping solutions that add to the significance of the moment.
